| Summary | ||
| The second convention was held in 1986 at various facilities in Uniondale and Garden City, Long Island (NY). It was called World UNICON 2, a name coined by Meryl Schaffer which means "unicycling convention." The host was Greg Milstein, with help from the organizers of the first convention. There were fewer participants, but there were 7 countries; the newest being Argentina. There were some unusual races, such as a slalom course, and an ultimate wheel endurance contest. Ken Fuchs rode his ultimate wheel for 18 minutes straight, the longest time known to this author. There was a compulsory artistic event, as in the first convention, which was less developed than the systems used later. It was a mandatory part of the overall "Individual Artistic Unicycling" title. | ||
