To answer your question on how to go about starting your group: there is a
comprehensive faq. on the subject, which is regularly posted in news.answers
I strongly suggest you read and follow the guidelines in that faq. It may well
improve the chances of acceptance by others. And of course nothing should stop
us from posting to rec.bicycles, even if it were just to scare them :*)
Recumbents do not get the best welcome, but the flames seem to have died a bit
now.
