I have an old 24" Schwinn and was looking for a new tire. He said he had
something like 50 of the original UNICYCLE tires left. I think he said they
were $12. I decided to get a different tire which was $10 and 24 x 1 3/4
which would also fit my rim. I got it becasue it was a white wall. The
Schwinn S-7 24 x 1 3/4 tires of any sort are diffucult to find. The UNICYCLE
tire is rated to 60psi and the white wall I got is rated to 45psi. Tom said
to go ahead and pump it up to 60psi. He didn't think there was really any
difference in the tire which made it a special UNICYCLE tire.
I also had one of the old style Schwinn seats with the vinyl cover which was
all torn up. I replaced the entire seat with the newer style Schwinn seat
which has the plastic bumpers on front and back. This new seat was all black
and cost $25. He also said he had blue ones.
I only paid $50 for the used unicycle in January and have already put that
much into it for tire, seat and new pedals, but that is OK, I am having a
great time learning and riding it.
