Repairing a pedal ?

You have a few options, with varying difficulty and cost;

1. If just the thread on the pedal spindle is stripped, buy a new spindle and
rebuild the pedal.

2. If the thread in the crank is stripped, which is more likely - either buy a
new crank, or take the crank to a good bike shop. They can drill it out
oversize, ream it and re-tap it to take a threaded insert which fits the
original pedal threads. This can get expensive, and you may find it cheaper to
buy a new crank.
