seat design

I tried my uni out and the seat design is well........ horrible. There
is NO WAY I could ride this very much at all. I took the seat apart and
discovered that the padding consists of:

a. A piece of 1" carpet padding trimmed to the exact shape of the seat

b. A VERY thin piece of foam (1/8" at the most) which covers that and is
the "padding" for the sides.

That's it! The carpet padding is very firm. I may be nuts, but I think a
well padded seat (both on the top and sides) would be much more
comfortable. Could anyone clue me in as to seat design/padding?

The cover is made of 2 pieces: one the shape of the top of the seat and
the other the "side". There is a seam running around the top edge of the
seat.

The sides of the seat also angle outward slightly. I pushed them in a
little.....

I assume there are places that one can buy good unicycle seats....
In the meantime, I am going to try some 2" foam......
