I find this very weird. To my knowledge the threads on the left and right
pedals are different, although I'm not sure which side has which thread. I
recently had to replace my right pedal and found that it had right-hand
thread (contrary to my intuition), but when I tried to undo my left pedal
to see which thread it had, it was too tight in either direction, so I didn't
bother. So perhaps my unicycle is weird as well.

In hind-sight, I don't think this post was really much help. Maybe someone
else could clear it up for both of us.

P.S. I still you pedals should have different threads.
